We know you have many things to think about when you are starting college. Graduating high school seniors have a variety of scholarships available to help make the transition to the University of Utah.
The Financial Aid and Scholarships Office awards many scholarships to freshman students every year. These scholarships are based on: Merit (previous academic performance), Leadership, (demonstrated leadership ability), Diversity (capacity to contribute to the diversity of the student body), and demonstrated financial Need.
Entering freshmen who have completed the Admissions process by December 1 will automatically be considered for Merit scholarships. Leadership and Diversity scholarship applications must be submitted by February 1.
Additional scholarships are available based on college, department, major and other special categories. The application process and deadline for each scholarship will vary.
You may also apply for outside, private scholarships. Many scholarships are listed in online resources, such as FastWeb. Each outside scholarship will have a unique application process and deadline.
