Freshman Scholarships from the UOSFA
The University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid awards many scholarships to freshman students who begin in the Fall. These scholarships are based on: Merit (previous academic performance), Diversity, and demonstrated financial need.
Entering freshmen who have submitted a complete admissions application by the Dec. 1 Priority Application Date will automatically be considered for merit scholarships. Entering Freshmen who hope to be considered for need-based scholarships must submit their admission application by Feb. 1, and also submit a FAFSA by the Feb. 1 Financial Aid Priority Date.
Campus Scholarship Resources
Additional scholarships are available based on college, department, major and other special categories. The application process and deadline for each scholarship will vary. Please note some departments have moved their scholarship applications over to the new Academic Works system. You must have a Campus Information Services (CIS) account to log in. Admitted students can find this information in their admissions letter (University ID and password). To apply, visit the Academic Works scholarship search page. You may also apply for outside, private scholarships. Many scholarships are listed in online resources, such as FastWeb. Each outside scholarship will have a unique application process and deadline.
