 Based on cumulative GPA, ACT/SAT scores,
and the student's ability to contribute to the
diversity of the campus. 

A scholarship for seniors of an accredited Utah high school, public or private, who will be entering freshmen. Recipients are chosen based on cumulative GPA, ACT/SAT scores,
and on the student's ability to contribute to the diversity of the campus. 

Value: a sum of $2,000 will be awarded toward the cost of tuition ($1,000 per semester) for one year.

In-state Requirement
Application Information: Recipients are selected by the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid based on admissions information and based on the student's ability to contribute to the diversity of the campus. No additional application necessary.

Additional Application Requirements: Due to limited funds, the University can offer awards only to the top applicants whose admissions materials are received on time. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that all required documents are on file at the University by the December 1 priority application date. Any remaining Merit Scholarship funds will be awarded to applicants who have completed the admissions process between Dec. 2 and Feb. 1.
Award: Annual Award: $2,000 ($1,000 per semester). 
Terms: Non-renewable
Deadline: Complete admissions process by December 1
Other Requirements: Merit scholarship consideration will be based on the ACT/SAT test score with which students are admitted. Results from tests taken after the official October test date, initial or retakes, will not be taken into consideration for scholarship eligibility.
