Working through College

ivy covered building on campusWorking no more than 20 hours a week while attending college will provide many benefits. You can use your earnings to meet your cost of attendance and reduce your debt burden. It can also help you gain valuable skills and experience that will help you in your future endeavors. It may even help you to better manage your time.

Use the following resources to help you work through college:

  • Work-Study: If you are awarded work-study as part of your financial aid package, you may elect to participate in the work-study program.
  • U of U Employment: You may work in a regular part-time student job at the U of U.
  • Career Services: Off-campus employers seek students to fill internships and part-time or seasonal positions.
