Prospective First Year Students

Applying to the U? We are here to help with the scholarship and financial aid process.  Follow these next steps to get started.

1.  Apply for University of Utah admission. Your admissions application is your university merit scholarship application.
2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
3. Apply for University of Utah department scholarships. Currently, many on-campus organizations are transitioning their scholarships to ScholarshipU.  We recommend that students check both ScholarshipU and AcademicWorks to ensure access to all available scholarship opportunities.
4. Monitor your UMail account and visit your financial aid status page in the Campus Information Services (CIS) portal for any incomplete information
5. Access and review your financial aid offer letter in CIS
