Spring 2024 Tuition Due

Summer 2024 Tuition Due

May 22, 2024

Funds given to University of Utah students will be handled in the following manner:

  1. Offered funds will be entered into the computer system at the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
  2. At the beginning of each semester, if a student is eligible and is registered appropriately for the required number of classes, the offer(s) will pass from the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid computer system to the Income Accounting Office system and will credit the student's tuition account. The account will also show the charges a student has incurred for institutional expenses at the University.
  3. If there is a credit on the tuiton bill, the student can have the money direct deposited into a designated checking or savings account. On the student homepage in Campus Information Services (CIS), click the tuition and loans tile then direct deposit authorization, then complete the form. If a student does not set up direct deposit, a check will be sent to the mailing address listed in CIS. Students can update their address in CIS. Visit the Income Accounting webpage for more information about direct deposit and refund/remainder checks.
  4. Pay any remaining balance on the tuition bill by the tuition due date.  The student may view the bill through Campus Information Services.  For late-arriving offer(s), there will be regular passes of offer(s) during the semester. Usually, these passes occur two to three times a week.
Because remainder checks will be mailed AFTER the semester has begun, the student must be prepared to pay startup costs for each semester before having that semester's student aid to help.

If you have not received your Conditional Financial Aid Notification and completed your file by the tuition payment deadline, you should have identified an alternative source of funds. Payment plans are available through Income Accounting. The initial tuition billing statement is not mailed to you. To view your billing statement, and make payments online using a credit card or e-check, log into Campus Information Services, click tuition and loans, then payments & payment plans. If you do not wish to pay online, then please print a copy of your bill to accompany your check payment.
