Talent Development Grant
Eligibility Requirements
- Students must be enrolled in an eligible bachelor’s degree program;
- Students must complete a FAFSA form for the year of application in accordance with Board policy R623;
- Eligible majors for the 2024-25 award year include:
- 11.0201 Computer Programming/Programmer, General
- 11.0204 Computer Game Programming
- 11.0401 Information Science/Studies
- 11.0701 Computer Science
- 11.0901 Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications
- 14.1001 Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- 14.0901 Computer Engineering, General
- 14.1901 Mechanical Engineering
- 30.0801 Mathematics and Computer Science
- Students must sign a declaration of their intent to work in a qualifying job in Utah following graduation;
- Completing and providing a signature on the Talent Development Grant application will be accepted as intent to work in a qualifying job in Utah;
- Students must meet satisfactory academic progress (SAP) or have an approved SAP appeal.
How Do I Know If I'm Eligible?
If you feel you may be eligible based on the requirementes listed above, then complete the application annually to be considered.
What Does the Grant Cover?
The award can be used to cover resident tuition, differentials, and fees after other aid is evaluated. Due to limited funding, there is no guarantee a recipient will receive this award every year. This award may not cover full tuition, tuition differentials, or fee charges and recipients may still have a balance due after all eligible and available funding is awarded.
