The University of Utah provides a specific scholarship program that assists incoming freshman students in financial need with educational costs. The ARUP Promise Scholarship program provides additional support to academically qualified students with financial need to gain access to a great education the University of Utah provides. The scholarship provides $2,000 per year ($1,000 each semester) to recipients, for up to 4 semesters. Awards will be offered to students as funding allows, with consideration being given to those identified with the highest financial need. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and financial aid file with the University of Utah by Feb. 1 to be considered. *This scholarship is not associated with the Access Utah Promise Scholarship offered by the state.

Application Information: Recipients must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year and complete their financial aid file with the University of Utah to determine whether they meet the income level requirement for scholarship renewal.

Additional Application Requirements: Must complete the FAFSA and financial aid file with the University of Utah by Feb. 1 to be considered. 
Award: Annual Award: $2,000 ($1,000 per semester) per year.
Terms: Renewable - Up to 4 semesters. Full time enrollment (minimum of 12 hours) is required for disbursement of this award. Recipient must maintain a minimum Satisfactory Academic Progress standards. Recipients must submit the FAFSA each year and complete their financial aid file with the University of Utah to determine whether they meet income level requirement for scholarship renewal. If selected for verification, the verification process must be complete to have the ARUP Promise funds disburse on the student account.
Deadline: Complete financial aid process by February 1 (FAFSA and financial aid file)
