A scholarship for seniors of an accredited Utah high school, public or private, who will be entering freshmen. Recipients are chosen by University committee from a pool of applicants, who qualify under an index that gives two-thirds consideration to GPA and one-third to ACT/SAT score. The University considers the GPA from grades 9 through 11, and test results from the ACT or SAT, taken in either the junior or senior year by the October test date.
Value: a sum of $5,000 is awarded toward the cost of tuition annually, for a maximum of 8 semesters or until the student achieves a baccalaureate degree, whichever comes first.

|Application Information:||Recipients are selected by the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid based on admissions information. No additional application necessary. Scholarship was formerly known as Honors at Entrance.|

|Additional Application Requirements:||Due to limited funds, the University can offer awards only to the top applicants whose admissions materials are received on time. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that all required documents are on file at the University by the November 1 priority application date.|
|Award:||Annual Award: $5,000 towards tuition. Need based housing scholarship available. Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the February 1 Financial Aid Priority Application Date and qualify for financial need.|
|Terms:||Renewable up to eight semesters or until student recieves a bachelor's degree. Must maintain a 3.6 cumulative grade point average and complete 24 credit hours in an academic year (20 of those credits must be graded).|
